Already downloaded? Follow 3 easy steps to flash to USB and boot WayangOS.
View Install Guide →Patch and upgrade an installed box without reinstalling. WayangOS keeps two boot slots (A/B): the new image is written to the idle slot, verified, then booted. If it fails to start, GRUB falls back to the last good slot automatically, and you can roll back at any time.
# minor / patch within the installed major
sudo wayang update
# cross-major upgrade (explicit)
sudo wayang upgrade
# check only — change nothing
sudo wayang update --check
# offline bundle from USB (no internet)
sudo wayang update --from /run/media/usb/wayang-1.4.1-x86_64.wup
# go back to the previous slot
sudo wayang update --rollback
Updates are signature-verified and only reboot when you ask (add --reboot). /data is never touched.
